ShopRite of Forest & Richmond is a seafood market in Staten Island, New York. It is listed at 985 Richmond Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314, which places it among the local businesses of Staten Island that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as bakery, fresh food market, natural goods store, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Staten Island with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in New York may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open Open 24 hours. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach ShopRite of Forest & Richmond at (718) 982-8662; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, shoprite.com.

Staten Island is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Staten Island follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The customer service at this ShopRite is always a negative experience. There is specifically one woman who is insufferable and rude any time Iโve encountered her. They were giving me a hard time about returning perishable items that were within the return timeframe and I had a receipt but because I purchased at a different location. She couldnโt give me a definitive reason as to why they canโt accept perishable returns from another location and said you can speak to a manager. The manager accepted the returns no problem and was very nice about it but you can tell she was VERY salty that he did. This location is the closest to my house and they do sell a lot of variety, but out of all the ShopRiteโs on the island they have the meanest staff and are the least visually aesthetic to support such nastiness.

Leaving this review for Vicky - the kind lady that helps with home delivery orders. Thank you for always getting in contact with me if there's an update related to my order. I appreciate you taking the time to always be consistent with me. I hope that's recognized & the standard for all others that may work in your area within the store. Thank you!

I usually buy my seafood from a local fish market. The local fish market was all out of lobsters so I thought to check ShopRite. The ShopRite website had the lobster listed for $11.99, on sale from $17.99 and it clearly said same price for online and in store!!! I toke a cross town ride to the Richmond Ave location. When my wife and I arrived at the store, we shopped around for a little bit and headed to seafood counter once we were done shopping, I noticed the lobster didnโt have the on sale sign. I asked the gentleman behind the counter if the lobster is on sale and he said no!!! I took out my phone and showed him the ShopRite website and that it says same price in store and online and that itโs listed on sale starting today for $11.99. He said we didnโt hear about it being on sale. Then he says, let me check with the store manager if she will honor the online price. Then he asks me how many lobsters I needed, I said I need 6 lobsters. He says, โwe only have about 7 left but I canโt sell you all of them!โ, I said why not? He says โbecause thatโs all we have left.โ (You canโt make this stuff up!!! Unbelievable!!!) I said, wellโฆ Iโll buy three and my wife will buy three. How abo

I'm so sick of this place their dairy section is always filled of rotten spilled milk all over the fridge and I have 2 babies. It's disgusting I've complained to the manager a month ago and clearly nothing has been done. Not to mention their red meat section is absolutely ridiculously over priced, Don't cry to me about the economy go yell at your suppliers. They cut the sticks so thin like paper and charge almost $18 for a piece of steak. Last time I will shop here I've lived in the community for 20 years. I don't care if I have to drive an hour out of my way to go literally anywhere else I will do it. Save your generic response I don't wanna hear it you know what you're doing is wrong, Yet you have a captive audience in this neighborhood that rely on you which is why you abuse that trust

Is there any particular reason why when they have the best deals and the best sales I have to come three times a day to see if they actually stocked up and every single day to see if the items are available ? And no one seems to have an answer every time you ask a worker when will it be available they donโt know or how much is this display thatโs on sale their respond is oh I donโt know , you can check in the app or ask customer service and their other response is oh I donโt really know if they have any more of this item. whateverโs there I cannot help you or you can try to ask customer service This seems to happen every week I come in to shop specially for the sales item and you never know what time it will be available or what day , and if itโs available, no oneโs there to get it for you or to stock up on it throughout the whole day, Itโs very upsetting when I find the best deals and drive-by, and I donโt find these items that are advertising the circular They definitely need additional grocery workers to stock up on all these sale items All I ever see is one older man stocking up and heโs constantly by his self and so many senior customers need his help . Hopefully after this
